The award-winning radical collective of Germany's top orchestral soloists, Ensemble Mini, come together for "Late-Night-Sinfonie" with the enfant-terrible German-Russian maverick and rising star artist, Alexander Iskin, resident artist of Berlin's Sexauer Gallery and current recipient of New York's Pollock-Krasner Foundation. Exhibiting the "fastest art exhibition ever”, he will paint (live) paintings for each picture that Mussorgsky depicts in his famous work, Pictures at an Exhibition. Painting on his self-made “Stradivari”, Iskin will use a specially-designed instrument with unique rotation system that allows him to paint each painting in unlimited circular perspectives. Whilst watching the world premiere of Joolz Gale's version for mini-orchestra, the audience can also see Iskin's work via video screen. For the artist, painting live is a risky undertaking. But the performance can put an exciting and unexpected meaning into the artist's emotions and interpretation of the Mussorgsky' music. After the performance, the audience will then see the result of the performance; all 14 freshly painted pictures in a spontaneous art exhibition. Bar 25 legend Sven Dohse joins as DJ.
